I came up with this recipe while testing in the kitchen. I wanted something Cajun like jambalaya but also wanted soup. So I just combined the ideas! I think it turned out pretty good! Put this on before work and its ready when you get home!
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken
1 pkg andouille sausage (14 oz)
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 onion
2-3 bell peppers
3 stalks celery
3 cups chicken broth
Cajun seasoning to taste
Instructions:
1. Chop sausage and add to crock pot
2. Shred chicken and add to pot
3. Chop onions and add
4. Chop bell peppers and add
5. Chop celery and add
6. Add chicken broth
7. Add Cajun seasoning to taste
8. Stir
9. Slow cook for up to 8 hours
10. Taste and add more cajun seasoning if needed
11. Add Heavy cream
12. Stir
13. Enjoy
